Section 508 Compliance Policy

We are committed to ensuring that all information and communication technology (ICT) products provided through our Government contracts are fully compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. We self-certify our compliance with Section 508 technical standards through the completion of a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for each ICT product we develop. VPATs are developed using the VPAT template from https://section508.gov/sell/vpat current at the time of submission.

On January 18, 2017, the U.S. Access Board published a final rule updating accessibility requirements for ICT covered by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 255 of the Communications Act. Known as the “508 Refresh,” Hendall complies with the latest technical standards defined in 36 CFR Part 1194, including the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, which are incorporated by reference. We also comply with the prior Section 508 technical standards (1194.21-41), now designated as Appendix D to 36 CFR Part 1194. More information about the new Section 508 standards is available at https://www.access-board.gov/guidelines-and-standards/communications-and-it/about-the-ict-refresh.
